A downloadable game for Windows

About the game

'What I Do When I'm Not At Uni' (WIDWINAU) is a work-in-progress prototype simulating the job of a supermarket customer delivery driver. This project was created for my 4th year honours project, with a focus on how game-based learning can be used to improve a user's learning experience.

Gameplay

Gameplay is currently split into 2 areas: Delivering to Customers and Customer Service.

In Delivering to Customers, the goal is to complete 5 deliveries, each within a 2 minute time limit. Completing a delivery on-time will give you a score. If you go over the 2 minute time limit, you still have to complete the delivery but you will not receive any points for doing so. At the end of the level, you will receive a final rank based on your performance.

Each customer you deliver to will require a set amount of ambient, chilled and frozen trays to be delivered, which can be seen when you arrive at their location. Once all the required trays have been delivered, the timer will reset and a new delivery will be active.

Regardless of how much of a rush you are in, it is important to drive carefully at all times. Reckless driving can lead to multiple crashes or even cause the van to flip onto it's side, both causing a game over. It is especially important to avoid collisions with pedestrians at all times.
